2008 Missouri Legislation

  • HB1580: A proposal to alter provisions relating to retail sales tax licenses to those who sell tobacco products.
    SB843: Creates the Youth Smoking Prevention Trust Fund, which would receive funds from the Missouri Tobacco Settlement. This has been proposed the last few years, but not approved.
    HB1330: Requires the state to match all grant moneys received for smoking cessation programs. There is a $2 million cap on matching funds.
